Hi
I have a 3yr old Maran who I thought had vent gleet so I brought her in to clean her up and start treating her. I quickly realized it was much worse...I thought it was a prolapse but I am now thinking its a lash egg.

She had this "ball" of hardness hanging out of her vent. It was covered in poo but once I soaked her it almost looked red? I have soaked her 3 days now and putting Prep H on her hoping it would come off. Last night in her soak I got brave and pulled on it a little and suck my finger in her vent to see if I could feel anything. Felt nothing but the "end" of this thing finally appeared which was stuck to part of her body, the inside of her vent. The end is white and soft and I was able to get a tiny piece off but the rest would not come. There are small "string" like pieces holding 2 larger pieces together for lack of better words. She was getting stressed so I dried her to calm her and put more Prep H and locked her in for the night.

I am not sure what to do....I know a lash egg doesnt have the best outcome but I thought they could live happily until the infection finally takes them over? How do I get this off? Do I just give up and cull? She is happy, eating, drinking, talking etc so I hate to just cull when she is willing to live.

The first pic is the day I found it (Sunday) and the 2nd is on Monday before her soak.
The arrow is pointing to the tiny “string” holding the pieces together. The part stuck to her inside is bigger though, I couldn’t get a pic of that yesterday.

It's very hard to tell from your pictures if it's lash material or if she may have prolapsed. Or even if it's a malformed egg. Do you know when she last laid? Since she does not seem to be in distress currently I would be inclined to give her some more time to see if she can pass it. I would keep it moist, use your finger to lube up around it in the vent best you can. You can use ky jelly, vaseline, honey, etc to keep it moist. If you've got some calcium I would give her some of that so that if she's just having trouble laying an abnormal egg that may help (a tums or 1/2 a calcium tablet). If she's pooping then she's not completely blocked. If things go downhill you can always make the decision to cull, if necessary. If it's lash material, then there really isn't a 'standard' way things go. Some birds pass lash material, I've seen anything from tiny bits, to egg sized, to long tuberous masses. But sometimes it can't pass and just builds up inside.

Thank you!
The last egg I have from her was last week, I think it was Thur or Friday. I will start giving her some calcium today! I have some in the house luckily.
On Monday she had her normal large poops, since then they have been smaller or runny, but she is pooping!

If it was a prolapse would the end of it be whitish? The part that's attached to her is white. I couldn't take a pic since it was only me soaking her yesterday. Should I continue to soak or just put the honey (I have tons) and jelly in her vent?

You could do both. If soaking relaxes her it may also help move things. If she laid normally last week, that makes it a bit more likely that it's either a malformed egg, or prolapse, or both. Some malformed eggs are really difficult to pass. Mine with salpingitis have always stopped laying before the onset of symptoms or passing of lash material. Sometimes the first sign is a malformed egg with lash material attached. I hope you can get her to pass it.

She is not a fan of soaking so I will skip tonight. (she does love the blow dry part thought!) I got some tums in her earlier today, should I give one a day?
This evening when I went to put medicine in her she seemed more reluctant to let me while earlier today she was fine and had no issues.
Yes she laid a couple times last week, shes 3 so not a daily layer but still pretty consistent.

I would just give it once or twice. If she will eat feed mixed with some water, or some chopped up cooked egg, you can grind it up and mix it in that. If you have some vitamin D3 that may help with the calcium absorbtion, you can mix that in too. See how she's doing in the morning after getting some rest overnight. If she's fighting getting help, that sometimes means they are feeling better. Sick birds will let you do lots of things easily, that healthy birds will fight and protest against.

She’s the same today...she ate Tums yesterday and today but no change in the thing stuck to her. If that would come off she’d be ok...not fixed but at least able to go back with the flock. But it just won’t come off.
