Hi everybody!
My eggs have detached air cells unfortunately, and I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to have a good hatch rate. They are all fertile also. I don't have an automatic egg turner so I'm turning them by hand. Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!! This is also my first post so sorry if this is not put together the right way!

Welcome to BYC!

Are these shipped eggs? Are you letting your eggs rest before setting? How do you know they are detached?

The best thing you can do is get these eggs in egg cartons upright to allow the air cell to hopefully settle back down. Many times eggs with detached air cells don't develop. You can also lower your humidity as well to help dry the inside of the eggs a bit. But again, if they are truly detached, they may not develop.

You might want to post this question in the Incubating and Hatching section here on BYC for more help on this issue...

Good luck with this hatch!

I let them sit for a little over 24 hours. Did u see the pic I posted of it?

And yes they are shipped, they actually are my favorite type of chicken breed-silkies!

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Are the air cells actually moving at this point, or are they stable but not exactly where they are supposed to be?

thanks! I think they are done moving and not exactly where they are supposed to be

If the air cells are stable but just odd shaped X2 on TwoCrows suggestion of keep them in an egg carton and tilt the egg carton or just lean them from side to side... I tend to hatch these eggs in egg cartons also, though some people prefer to lay them down, they won't have as good a hatch rate as eggs with normal air cells but a decent number of them still hatch... I don't know if you have seen it, but there is a nice article in the Learning Center that has advice on dealing with shipped eggs https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101
