I just thought of something else. You could track the number of times per day that you turned the eggs.

Date laid is out of the question for these shipped eggs but I will be weighing them as soon as the slow poke mail man gets here.
I use an auto turner.I just thought of something else. You could track the number of times per day that you turned the eggs.
The most important thing is to have at least one calibrated thermometer and a salt tested humidity gauge.Late to the party - but coming along for the ride. I need all the knowledge I can glean. I'm setting this afternoon or tomorrow. Still waiting on my mail man... sigh.![]()
How often does the turner turn?I use an auto turner.
Maybe I can split the eggs in half and hand turn half.
Split the batch of eggs in half.
No clue. How often does the turner turn?
what's the part number on the motor? No clue.
You haven’t hatched with @Texas Kiki!!! She the “queen” of hands-on hatching!!!!I'd be concerned that too much handling could negatively affect hatch rate
With myshire it’s typically easy to tell jumbo chicks from the assorted colors for the most part (as long as jumbo wild) my batch evidently had a couple jumbo white mixed in that confused me for a bit!!!!I'm going to try and track more information this time, but probably not as detailed as you. Too many eggs going in. Lol
I've marked the Myshire Jumbo's and mixed, plus marked my own separately. I do tend to lose track once they start hatching though.
I guess it wouldn't be too much to weigh them at the start, middle, and lockdown. Hmmm...
What else should I not down?
