OH BOY a real yeller! I can't wait.Another good thing to track will be chick weights at hatch and %true hatch since your group is pansy, could get some “yellers” or basically any color/size as they only hatch about 75% true! F2 get even more interesting! I got one from pearl hen/pansy male that’s absolutely gorgeous!!!!

the simple answer is yes.....but moreso refers to quail colors from “fee gene” and “SSC” ie pearl, snowy, etc.Is yeller slang for yellow?
I'm lost, sorry. I know nothing about quail genetics...the simple answer is yes.....but moreso refers to quail colors from “fee gene” and “SSC” ie pearl, snowy, etc.
the “fee gene” is a “white feather” gene in Falb fee and Pearl Fee colors. SSC basically denotes Silver/Gray varieties originating from the “Schofield Silver Collection” that was first brought in from Canada by Perry Schofield.I'm lost, sorry. I know nothing about quail genetics...
What is SSC and "fee gene"?
