Great thread
@mobius thanks for starting it. Rather timely too, I just saw a story on the news about all the junk in our cosmetics and how that industry is self regulated in this country.
For, oh probably the last 20 years I've been using homemade household cleaners. Essential oils, vinegar, borax, baking soda, and plant based soaps are my ingredients.
Have to be careful about anything that touches my skin due to autoimmune issue so I primarily use vitamin e as my moisturizer, and rotate through shampoos and conditioners at Sprouts.
We do not use any herbicides, ever, nor pesticides except after our neighbors dog died and their ticks came to our yard.
Laundry soap I use a commercial dye free scent free soap that doesn't irritate anyone right now. My husband works outside here in the desert and his uniforms get stinky!
Tile floors get steam mopped which is just plain old water.
I've had two books for years that I use various recipes from. One is called The Naturally Clean Home by Karyn Siegel Maier. The other is Clean and Green by Annie Berthold Bond.
I don't wear makeup, I use a natural antiperspirant rather than deodorant.
