Detox Your House and Cosmetics! What do you do?

Oh! and for your garden cukes, refrigerator cucumbers are delicious and easy. They might need to sit for 3-4 days in the fridge before eating but good luck with that cause they might be eaten before that happens...I use horseradish leaves from the garden for tannin to keep them crisp...will share recipe if anyone interested, next I will make refrigerator cuke relish.

Anyone up for a pickled egg recipe?

I don't have a compost pile what ever the goat and chicken don't eat I just toss in my garden. It's usually just my coffee grounds and fruit pits and seeds. I am growing a mystery apple tree. I haven't canned any produce yet. I do freeze and dehydrate.

And deep litter in the chicken run becomes a compost pile...you could use this for your goats as well... let me find the thread for you....

Freezing and dehydrating great choices also! i have a dehydrator myself, and freeze things as well!
Thank you for the link . I use my old bedding for future gardens , I layer it until I am ready to grow. Maybe I should just try making a pile. Chickens love scratching in it for bugs.

There are so many ways to do this but I used deep litter in the run....all approaches are good. I have a poop board for chickens with PDZ so the coop poop removed everyday or two to a five gallon bucket with a large kitty litter scoop, then goes to compost pile where I dump a bunch of straw on it...I am all about making things seamless and easy if i can...
