my husband says I'm being selfish, but I told him it was called grief. I cant give anything to anyone else right now, I have to heal myself & I need time.

I called Arlo 'Big Fella' 'Dumpling' 'RooRoo' "Squeak-A-Doodle", he was my light & now he's gone.

I wouldn't trade one minute of the last 14 months tho, we had one helluva good time, Arlo & Me. I loved him with every fiber in my body.

Sounds like you gave him the best life he possibly could have had!

took 6 hours to cremate him. He is now in a beautiful urn with flowers on the side. I saved some of his feathers & will put them into his stuffed duck which he liked, & the stuffed duck will live on my bed forever. That way my Big Fella will always be with me.

He was fortunate to be so loved. In time, hopefully, you will only remember the happy times.
