Devastated! Warning Graphical

Pics
Black copper Marans, Wyandotte and Barred Rock. These are in the new coop my son and I built. Need to build 5 more and fence the property.

Indeed, I needed something faster to build and secure in my budget. I had to drive 30+ miles to get hog panels.

Do you know who owns it or if its killed anyone else's animals?
I was told it had killed other chickens and ducks. The one I shot with the white ½ collar was same dog that attacked one of my goats awhile ago, this time it was at my new coop. Nobody seems to want to claim them.

We need better laws to protect us from dogs running at large In most places you have to take someone to small claims court in order to collect damages if you know their dog killed your chickens (proving who the owner is can be impossible)I have gotten good results dropping dogs off at animal control. The minute the dogs owner goes and picks their dog up they've claimed ownership.

2 pit bulls got lose one too many times that lived up the street from me.This neighbor had a bad habit of keeping dogs outside which was against the properties rules. They chased a cat underneath my house and wouldn't come out so I had to take off work to crawl under under there and get them out. I called animal control to pick the dogs up but they broke the chains before they showed up. The dogs showed back up later and did it again. This time they destroyed the duct work to my furnace and ac .I put both dogs in our garage and the animal control officer got both of them. The owners were told what the dogs did so the owners refused to claim the dogs so they wouldn't have to pay me damages. The county put both dogs down.

In this town of 250 people there isn't a animal control officer, city police or dog pound. There are too many dogs running loose out here, many have seen them in packs. City council doesn't push the ordnance. I get a lot of flack out here do to not being in there click, moving here from another state and not putting up with their bull. My son is out casted for the most part.

#1 sign I'm not going to like living someplace is dogs running loose. Dogs spread diseases. They scatter trash, kill cats and other small pets. They also kill other dogs and livestock like chickens and goats or sheep. Some are abandoned and form packs. Many of them will attack people. If you don't have a deputy assigned to handle dog issues (dog warden)or an animal control officer maybe you need to speak to the Sheriff about what your options are.No one should have to trap dogs because county and state employees won't do their job. I would take it as a compliment to be considered an outcast by some.
