Devastated

How do you know it was a fox? Normally, they do not kill them all.......at least not all at once. Normally they only take them one at a time, leaving almost no trace, except for the missing bird.

I recently saw a video in which a fox climbed a tree to get onto the netting over the run.

Unfortunately, the automatic door on the coop appeared to have closed prior to one of the chickens getting inside and it was sleeping in the run.

Warning: It is a little upsetting to watch but it does demonstrate just how determined the fox is and also that the nite-eyes were no deterrent:

 
I didn't realize foxes were great climbers. I have heavy wire on the sides of my run but only chicken wire across the top. I hope thats adequate.
