DH bought me a new rifle sunday!!

cknmom, I'll definitely wear ear protection when I get started on my firearms lesson. My DH has earplugs here-he was in munitions testing in the military for part of his career.

Coyote- I know what you mean. A neighbor at the top of the road called me in Jan knowing that our DGD walks to and from the bus everyday by herself. A guys topped by their house that afternoon to tell them that he spotted about a 150lb. mt. lion walking across the road, of course right very near our property!! So I met her at the bus stop that afternoon. While I was waiting DH came home, I told him about it. The first thing out of his mout was, "Where's your rifle"? I told him I didn't think that it would be cool for me to be walking the road with my rifle, many people around us would freak. So last weekend at the gunshow he bought me a great magnetic holster that I can attach to the waist of my jeans or whatever. So now I can carry my sig P226 with me when I walk her to and from the busstop.

Good speckle, some of the people I have always respected I have found don't wear protection and I am asstounded at that. Sure there are some guns you really don't need it, but we use them with everything but our pellet guns, bb, guns and air soft guns. When DGD forgets to wear her muffs or shooting glasses (another must as your DH will tell you) when shooting her bb gun out back, she gets her gun taken away for a few days.

What's up I have been up since 3 am on and off of byc and eg, no one has been posting. Now when I'm ready to get off and get to work, EVERYONE'S here!!
