Safeguard is very safe, so if you don't have a way to weigh them, just guess based on what the web says that breed weighs and round up, not down. FWIW, I have given .5ml per 2.2 pounds several days in a row and have not seen any ill effects, even with very sick birds.

Worms can sometimes be seen in the stool, but many times they are just absorbed into the body as protein. Be sure and repeat in 10 days to kill any worm larvae.

It could be a bacterial or fungal infection.

Patfish, did your bird recover from having the "poop" issues ? Did deworming do the trick?
