My temps are back up to 102. #1, I turned it up. #2, I found the problem. The windows were popped out slightly. It must have happened when I opened the bator for candling the first time.
Less than a week until lockdown. I am getting misty eyed. I am so terrified, and so excited!

happy hatching everyone!

You know, I wanted to say something to everyone as they seem to take egg shells out of the incubator right away.
I leave mine and they eat part of them, I am wondering if there is a benefit to chicks doing it natural like this?

Discussion please? thoughts? anyone find info on this?
i havent read any info on it but this last hatch is the first time i've ever seen mine do it and i hatch on the wire ... while waiting for the 5th one to hatch, i noticed the first two pecking at the shells ..something to google later
Quote: this is what mine looked like last hatch .. have had some messier before ... but never any that smelled bad ?!!?!?!?
