Commercial layer feed is generally around, what, 4% calcium? So a hen eating nothing but layers pellets (or mash etc) would actually be getting more calcium than a hen fed on a mix of the same feed plus these BSFL. And I'm fairly sure the calcium in BSFL is primarily carbonate too.

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
