Oh dear... I lost another pullet today. I actually saw the hawk come down and take my chick... It was heartbreaking.

I have 1 cockerel and 2 pullets left...

So very sorry.

ANCONA looks like a few will ZIP soon! The MALPOSITION #17 is alive and a little to spunky for not having yolk fully absorbed yet! he better stay in that egg!!

OZ, the hole drilling test...... again, I drilled a hole aside (not right at) the internal pip beak on all eggs, except the malpositions, and as you can see in the images below it had NO effect on them actually externally pipping, note my holes and their pips! pretty cool aint!

all 17 are alive and resting and AWESOME! YOU WILL HAVE TO ENLARGE to see what I mean maybe

and the drill test is very interesting.

I don't get it. Some people seem to have this problem and others don't. Apparently it affects Budgie eggs as well as geese and duck eggs. I couldn't find an acceptable explanation for it yet though. Except that it ruptures the blood vessels. But what and why and why not for everyone? Maybe Sally or Oz will sniff something out.

Remember my awesome hatch during HURICANE Sandy and a week without power. We had all sorta Lightnin and thunder and wind and pressure that cracked our foundation mortors!
