A friend of mine gave me 3 baby birds years ago. I can't remember what they were. I lost the smallest one, but the other 2 grew up and flew the nest eventually. I fed them a very nutritious breakfast cereal that I mixed with either water or milk, can't remember. They cheeped when they wanted food, which was in the middle of the night sometimes! But they did well on the cereal, which was probably not ideal, but it worked. Mealworms and chick food sounds like a better option. Or ask at a petshop or feed store if they have some kind of baby bird formula that you can use. Good luck with them!

Really? That raises my hopes. I have no idea what these little birds are, but they're very cute.

I had a day 18 pip at the wrong end on a polish egg. The next day I decided to help after no improvement. I removed most of the shell and put ointment on the sack to keep it moist. Last night after still no improvement, I decided it couldn't move so I opened it up and got its head free and laid it back in. This morning I have a fluffy black white crested polish raising heck waiting on all its buddies to hatch. It's day 20 today.

Quote: I would say wild bird feed non medicated. The starter variety.

I didn't know that they made a feed like that. Is it specifically made for wild baby birds? If so, I don't believe that any of our local feed mills carry it.

I've been doing a ton of research... The nearest rescue is two hours away and I was told that unless the babies were an endangered species, they would euthanize them. I'd rather give them a chance.
