I know...and guess what...I just got 6 russian quail eggs from my mother in law I will be setting those soon!! I'm hopeless!!

But I'm hoping OZ will want some fat, cute russian quail eggs to add to his list!!! hint...hint...LOL

oh yea and anyone know ring neck and diamond doves? mother in law says they are "mommy" fed but I set some of those eggs under my broody banty cochin to see what happens....chicken mom hatching doves...Oz where's that straight jacket?

I have 5 Basque (Euskal Oiloa) chicks just hatch in my bordeaux bator for La Palma Chicks in Valley Center. I will be one of the few who leaves a BYC meet up with no birds. Living in an apartment is good for self control

When I shared about the 80 eggs I'm hatching, my co workers said I am crazy! But I told them, at least I'm the good kind of crazy!

I plan to only keep a total of 12 chickens myself. With my shipping hatch rate, I'll give any extras to my mom, sister and niece. Not that I feel I have to justify myself amongst other chicken math friends. Lol.

I'm not good w math in general anyway, which is not much needed in social work except for statistics (which I passed btw).

I only have a fenced back yard. Ur my mom is only 15 minutes away and has 22 acres. So I will keep excess chicken math at her house and bring the feed for them. I'm hoping to get a few breeding pairs from my favs of a dew breeds to keep at her house . . . my mom just doesn't know it yet. Lol
