. Do they need to sit out for a day or two and be turned before going in bator?
I think only if you intend to gather for a few days. Otherwise I think you can put them right in the bator..at least that's what I've done in the past.

Thanks I live in FL but happen to be doing a round trip to Atlanta today and buying some hatching eggs there instead of getting them shipped. :)

Ok guys i have two little ones that internal piped. I open a hole and saw it they are not moving thats why when i candle i thought they were gonners. well the thing is that they been like that since yesturday and it looks like if they are strink wraped. should i help or should i let them stand there more.

one is shipped and the other is from my own.

the other shipped had drown.. not positoned right. If i would of known i probably could have helped so i dont want to loose these

Quote: Those 2 were dead when I took the pic, sadly. They are gorgeous, aren't they? They had the most amazing yellow patterns. I'm going to ask the gardener in future to call us before killing them, so we can catch and relocate them rather.

Are they not moving? Have you opened the shell to investigate? Take a damp Q-tip and wipe the inner membrane and see if the chicks respond. If they do, check what the inner membrane looks like. Are there any visible blood vessels?

Yep

yep investigate with a hole up top at the fat end. Wetting that inner membrane will turn it from milky colored to clear to see if there are veins. If there are veins, leave them alone except to clear around beak a little. Being careful not to hit any veins. Then report back
