Look what the gardener just brought us. 2 Puff adders:

I have a question. I have a hen who seems like she's lost the will to live. She is at the absolute bottom of the totem pole, and the little ones will tolerate her but the adults will not. She was sick with diarrhea and weird looking poo, but she went through treatment with Corid and then two subsequent doses of Safeguard. She eats and drinks OK, she just gets hammered by the other hens and even the big roo because (I think) she got friendly with my little roo. I don't know what to do. She's also stopped laying back when she first got lethargic and kept her eyes closed all the time. She still keeps her eyes closed a lot. I feel so bad for her, she's just tormented so I keep her in with the young birds but pretty soon they're going to have to integrate too.

awwwwww she has no worms or miteslice etc? have you given probotics?

Wow had over 200 posts to read before getting to the end... Congrats to all that has had hatches. I wanted to thank everyone that helped me this past hatch. All of my Dad's eggs hatched and very heathly. I had 14 keets hatch (mail ordered) out of 20. So I am pretty excited about this one, they are all different colors. Sally Sunshine, I want to thank you for your articles, because my last to keets had Straddle legs and I had remembered that I had read about that on one of your pages. They are doing great and walking normal now.

Next hatch due next Saturday.

No luck on the cages. They wouldn't sell them.

Congrats Doug!! I had my little Wyandottes hatch today, SLW, BLRW, and Black. 8 out of the 9 in lock down made it.

I am still feeling crappy but rested today and ran the kids for that yogo icecream place. I sold the serama and the ducks today. I had to split the brahama hatch up to two brooders, may have to do three since so many hatched. I am very pleased, no issues hatching them, great fertility awesome healthy chicks and no genetic defects at hatch so I am thrilled! I am thinking about setting the dozen serama eggs I got the past few days because I still have people wanting chicks, after that I may just sell hatching eggs.

My Magpies & Saxony eggs have been in the incubator for 8 days now. Half of the Saxonys are showing development (so exciting!) but only 1 Magpie seems to be developing a few look wierd. I'm posting pics of the weirdos and hoping you hatch masters can tell me if they are just cooking in there or developing :-D
