She eats and drinks OK, she just gets hammered by the other hens and even the big roo because (I think) she got friendly with my little roo. I don't know what to do. She's also stopped laying back when she first got lethargic and kept her eyes closed all the time. She still keeps her eyes closed a lot. I feel so bad for her, she's just tormented so I keep her in with the young birds but pretty soon they're going to have to integrate too.

awwwwww she has no worms or miteslice etc? have you given probotics?

They get homemade yogurt and FF for probiotics. Haven't seen any mites/lice; I use DE in their coop and nesting boxes. She just seems really depressed...poor sweetie.

Hey all! Congrats on the hatches! I candled some of my Langshan eggs today to see how they were doing and the sampling I did showed perfect air cells and beating hearts!!!! My last two batches of shipped eggs from others certainly didn't do that good. These seriously look like I got them from under my own hen and put them in the incubator!!! So happy!! I want these babies so bad.

Lisa[/quoteHi Lisa, can you say where you got your Langshan eggs? Yikes, I really want some, but it is getting late so maybe next spring.

THE WHITE KEETS AND THE LAVENDER ARE THE ONES HATCHED THIS PAST WEEK. NOT A GOOD SHOT POSSIBLE IN THE BROODER :)

THESE ARE IN THE COOP THAT IS A STEP UP FROM BROODER, LITTLE DEVILS ARE CAMERA SHY.. lol

Day 14 candling results:

4 Seramas
2 lavender Ameraucana
4 Salmon Faverolles
2 cross of white leghorn/lavender Ameraucana
2 Crested Cream Legbar Roo over a Exchequer Leghorn/WL Pullet (to increase
egg size and production

I also have 4 BCM eggs that I can't see anything because the eggs are so dark.

I'm trying a dry hatch this time in my LG still air bator. Humidity is 37% with temp 99-100.

I meant separately! LOL I figured Doug would know that. Use one and then the other so you'll know between the 2 one would take care of the coccidia :)

I know. I was just worried someone else might not know that. :) . Sorry I should have said that.

Don't apologise, I should said it when I posted. I've edited my post to make it more clear. You're right, someone may misunderstand and that would not be good! Good thing I got you guys checking up on me :highfive:

I learned that lesson when I was 14 working for the school one summer. I was cleaning classrooms and thought I would mix a special cleaner. I ran everyone out of the building. Lol
