OMG... O.K. now I understand why you're so cautiousNo, you're right, we got to be careful. I've just had a friendly argument with a friend of mine now because he's letting the kids play with the fire. That's my "thing" that I'm super careful about, fire. No bad experience, thankfully! I'm just really scared of it for some reason.![]()
oh! LOLhow r u?
??? tape?
read the assist article awhileThe tape that pluged the holes for the first 10 days
I agree with oz : ( how were air cells on these when u got them?My Magpies & Saxony eggs have been in the incubator for 8 days now. Half of the Saxonys are showing development (so exciting!) but only 1 Magpie seems to be developing a few look wierd. I'm posting pics of the weirdos and hoping you hatch masters can tell me if they are just cooking in there or developing :-D

awesome Lisa!!! YAYA!!!Hey all! Congrats on the hatches! I candled some of my Langshan eggs today to see how they were doing and the sampling I did showed perfect air cells and beating hearts!!!! My last two batches of shipped eggs from others certainly didn't do that good. These seriously look like I got them from under my own hen and put them in the incubator!!! So happy!! I want these babies so bad.

Quote: this strep is kicking my ascot big time. I was to have a picnic for sons bdays and couldn't. I sat with kids at the pool all day and DH was covering the silkie run so I can use it for spitz. I now have an almost done aviary lol ok a redneck aviary he he he
Just wanted to chip in about the candled eggs a bit -- I can't see number 6 and 8 too well but they might be viable. They have a more reddish tone and sometimes viable eggs will look that way when candled with a weaker flashlight. Hard to see with the pictures, though. The others are definitely no good.
I am so sorry dolfi! have you eggtopsied and all that? and in the hatching 101 are the links to go over to see "what went wrong"so the little shipped baby didnt make it but the one that hatched of my own is doing fine. its lonely but fine. it hasnt eaten or drank anything. Ill give it some time and a little mirrow so it dont feel so lonely.
