Take a q-tip and soak up as much of it as you can. Remove a little bit of the shell and outer membrane and check the chick's nostrils are clear and it can breathe o.k.

No, that is the problem. We are going on yet another egg hunt tomorrow and hopefully I will find something for her to hatch

I haven't been very successful in my efforts to find fertile eggs so far. And forget about duck eggs! Only one guy who wanted to sell us Muscovy eggs @ R50.00 per egg. I can buy a whole duck for that.

I think I got that one ok, but another one hatched the second I went to put the 2 year old down for a nap. He is totally out and there looks like a ball of intestines is hanging out of him??
