That's a great summation of a cat! I wish they all had just a little more fear of things sometimes. We had one that I used to say her curiosity amd fearlessness would get the better of her one day. And she wasn't but about 4 months old when she was bitten by a nearly 6-foot rattlesnake. A neighbor ran over and killed the snake right in front of our house thankfully, but the cat showed up on the porch a little bit later, already bitten. She was dead not long after. It was awful, and I don't think I'll ever forget it.

oh no im so sorry to hear that , yea our cats found a copper head in our house one time and were fighting it till my hubby killed it

I'm glad it didn't get them! I don't mind snakes at all, but I don't want venomous around with so many animals and kids.

I'm so glad this rattlesnake only got the cat, honestly. My husband and I had been tromping all through the woods just a bit before that happened, and the cat was with us. So the snake couldn't have been far from us. And my kids were all outside, but not in the woods. And our neighbors had just moved in at that time, and they've got 3 young kids under 10. The youngest was just 2 then and weighed about 18 or 20 pounds. I feel like a nearly 6-foot Eastern Diamondback has the potential to kill a child that small.

Maybe I could send a couple of indigos to y'all... haven't seen a venomous snake in several years now. 😉
They're not picky though, they'll eat your "good" snakes too... 🙁

We have so many hawks and owls, I would think they would eat some of the snakes.

It's so cold, lol. But, my chickens all seem their usual happy selves this morning, so I'm guessing they don't much mind the cold. It'll be warmer later, but still cooler than I prefer. But by tomorrow, we should be back to more seasonal weather.

I haven't gone yet, her son is sick at the moment. Seems to be a constant stream of things preventing me from going, lol. But we're going to make it happen. Luckily, while she does plan to rehome them all, she's not in a big hurry to do it, and Pippin isn't ready for a male yet anyway. So it's not really a big rush. I'm going to text her later and see how her son is today.

What are y'all up to today?
