16 days! How will you handle it...maybe this will help.

I was just wondering... We had a hatch in a forced air homemade incubator and the humidity was very high in one spot, just above the water bowl. A friend of mine explained that it had something to do with the direction the air was circulating and the placement of the water. Drowned a poor chick on that spot

When she pipped through the shell water poured out! I was amazed she got so far and survived, but she died in the shell.

The buses from school were two hours late getting to school. I am so tired. Apparently there were accidents everywhere due to poor road conditions. My mom said that she has seen a total of 7 car accidents today. The roads are so icy, I could barely walk outside. Even when the roads were salted a tonne. wowowowowwow. Hope is chilling with me. :3

:hmm whoa I hope all those people in the accidents are ok!

We had a terrible storm blow through with tornado watches everywhere and the wind was so strong that it blew my umbrella inside out! I think there was more here than there is in a waterfall! And to make things worse, the power went out, the roof started leaking, there were accidents and sirens everywhere, and I didn't get my eggs! >.< GAHHHHH

Wow. Just went to check the eggs and humidity is reading at almost 70! It's only day 18. Do I need to let some of that out????

It's also possible I put the hydrometer too close to the water well, would that change my reading?
it may very well change your reading, mine does when I do that!

Yes I just watched that on the news. Supposedly the Prairies are frozen!

They should be O.K. The incubator we used was a really carp design, I must say. DH ended up practically rebuilding the thing and it wasn't even ours, we did the hatch and the improvements for a friend.

I just thought of that incident now when I read your post. Good luck with the hatch! I can't wait for mine to go into lockdown. Only...16 days to go

UGGGG I just dont have it in me today to mess with them tonight, so I pray some make it out on their own for her.

ADDING... Anyone think it would work to put a dimmer switch on the fan to slow it down, or wont that work?
