Harmony has two serama pipped BEFORE lockdown day 18, the time mark was 9pm for lockdown tonight....SO more than likey they are all shrinked, uggggg its has to be the powerful fan in the bator, I thought since I was going to have her use the Styro to hatch in they would be ok!! UGGGG I just dont have it in me today to mess with them tonight, so I pray some make it out on their own for her.

ADDING... Anyone think it would work to put a dimmer switch on the fan to slow it down, or wont that work?
Umm, if they are early, does that mean that there is a greater chance for their yolks to not be fully absorbed? And I don't know what a dimmer switch for a fan is? I'm guessing it slows it down, but I don't know how slowing down the fan would help.

Quote: He stopped when he matured. But we taught him to come to us when we made a kinda clicking sound. So when we were looking for him or wanted him to come for a treat or a cuddle we did that. Our friends wouldn't believe us when we told him our chicken will come running when we call him, so we had a lot of fun with that!

The buses from school were two hours late getting to school. I am so tired. Apparently there were accidents everywhere due to poor road conditions. My mom said that she has seen a total of 7 car accidents today. The roads are so icy, I could barely walk outside. Even when the roads were salted a tonne. wowowowowwow. Hope is chilling with me. :3
I'd keep my son out of school if our roads looked that bad. The teachers told us it's o.k. if he missed school due to the weather. I'm actually surprised your school bus still ran in spite of that conditions.

Quote: We had quite a storm late yesterday evening. Thunder, lighting, wind... the works. I couldn't sleep for the noise. Thankfully I got kiddo to sleep in time, as he's terrified of thunder storms. I was lying awake hoping the chickens are o.k. I have no faith in that coop LOL

Sally, you probably did already, but crank up the humidity. They should be O.K.

I've been caught out by early hatchers too. Once I went to turn one last time before lockdown and found a pip! The chick hatched out o.k. Small eggs hatch out earlier than LF eggs. My MIL's bantams eggs hatched after only 16 days, but they were ridiculously tiny. I don't know if you can slow a fan down like that. I think you should experiment outside the incubator first. Good luck, hey!

Sorry I am a poopybutt today, but I am still feeling this bug...... Its put me down for a bit.....

Hill you go girl!! Hatch them babes!!

oh and XXOO Sparky Gal
Hope you are feeling better today

Maybe they'll be ok? Maybe they just felt like hatching early..? Oh please tell us if they made it out alright!

WHOOP it looks like one of my chickens is finally laying!!!! And looks like I got an FCM! The other 4 light green ones are my mallard duck's... How can I tell which of my chickens laid that beautiful brown egg? It's either Moe or Aqua...

Oh Kelly! Too sweet... I bet you're proud!
The cutest thing is watching the babies reach up and kiss her on the beak...and mama will take food from the dish and drop it on the hay for them. The connection they have is very touching. I am very proud
