Hmm I am kinda worried about my incubation..... I candled a couple eggs today... The silkies seem to be developing awesome- big, lots of veins, perfect... But the FCMs- I can't tell... I did not see any veining or chicks, just te air cell, a layer of clear, and at the bottom, a dark layer... Could this just be because they are too dark to candle, or is there something wrong??
I don't know what you mean? Can you get a picture? And you couldn't stop yerself from candling at least a couple? XDD

I have water for my duck in the coop 24/7 and it never freezes. But then again, I live in GA. I feed her chicken food plus grass an other edible things I find outside that ducks like. And I never have to worry about her not having enough- she makes it VERY clear to me when she wants something LOL xD
I think it would be a great experience for you to hatch ducks- they are amazing! But it is your choice!

I am so intrigued but also nervous. What if I don't know something. Why do I have to spray the eggs with water?

Quote: awwww how sweet! Our school sold pink white and red carnations ahead of time and I always sent pinks to the girls that were THE NICEST and the QUIET gals and then I would send whites to the boys, same scenario..... always anonymous! he he he

I love seeing their faces, true appreciation! I spent 20 bucks on it a year, a buck a pc but well worth it!
