Wow! My laptop breaks and I missed over 100 posts!

I loved the videos of the eggs rocking and the new hatchings.

I'm glad the poor little chick with the yolk and blood made it (looked like it was in pretty bad shape)

More eggs and more excitement, I hope that everybody has great hatch rates!

I had an amazing day today. My first ducklings arrived! Everyone of them survived the trip from TX to MN and they are adorable! I have khaki campbells, black east indies, and 1 crested khaki campbell drake. I've already let them swim and they loved it! I can't get over the little guys, they have so much personality!

Nope, but I'm ordering one off of amazon!

Hmmm I don't think I will hatch the duck eggs. It is so foreign to me, and I did not know that I could feed them medicated feed, so who knows what other things I don't know.

Maybe I'll give it a shot when I get older and am more comfortable with chickens and want to try something new, but for now, I am going to listen to my gut and not do it.

Ok well then I wish you the best of luck with the chickens!!

My laptop kept sutting down at random for the past 2 weeks. It wasn't overheated, it wasn't updating, it didn't run out of battery, it would just shut down. Well, yesterday I had it charging when I went down to fix my hair. 10 minutes later, I came back up and it was shut down completely and wouldn't turn back on. I brought it in to be looked at, and they had no idea what was wrong with it so they sent it in to be fixed. I'm in college, so that laptop is my life! All of my school documents are on it and I probably won't see it for another 2 weeks. I hope they get it fixed quickly...

And I've taken tons of photos and videos of them, especially during their first swim. They are soo adorable! I'll post them when I get more time. I'm using our home computer which is really slow.

I hope your little ones have a safe trip! Were they shipped Tuesday or Wednesday?

use dropbox.com or box.com to store all your school stuff. They are cloud servers. I can access my stuff from any PC, android or Mac anywhere. Its very handy for clutzes like me and unfortunate people like you

Oz I might look at that. I use skydrive or cloud drive whatever it is. It takes for ever to upload anything to it but I also have country internet so everything is slow.

Sumi do you lock down today or tomorrow. I have my first lock down tomorrow for this batch.

Regarding Ducklings-they are super cute but super messy. Raised ours with the chickens but they have been moved out by the ponds for a few months. The only way I can get them in a pond is if I pick them up and put them in. They will swim for a few mins and then get out and get back to acting like chickens.

Sally-I think your dancing women about killed my internet. Very funny though.

So I think I have a cockerel that has a crush on me. Will post a pic in a bit.
