I keep mainly koi and goldfish, but I have also had others over the years such as bettas, knife fish, gouramis, live bearers, blue lobsters, cave fish, and many others.

It does get expensive sometimes, just like the chickens. Some of my fish are worth well over $100 a piece. I keep the koi in the 125 gallon tank and then put them in a pond in the summer. Then I have a 55 gallon tank for my fan-tail goldfish and another 55 gallon tank for raising baby koi. I also have a few 20 gallon tanks for isolating new fish and a bunch of 10 gallon tanks for breeding bettas and livebearers.

I also have a stock tank in the garage full of goldfish that go in the pond every summer. They're about 5 - 8 inches and there's probably about 40 of them. If you want to talk fish, pm me, haha.
lol cool. I have comets and fantails. :) and a bottom feeder named the Creeper. XD

I have another heat lamp on the outside of the incubator, so I can just pull him out with his container and work on him outside.

)k,

Ok, so we only have to worry about this little one. the other two quit.

I checked them out and they were small with huge egg sac still. I will never add eggs only all at once. but these guys were marked the 14th????
The one in the fluid the same. Fluid was yellow brown tint. very bloody at bottom and seemed as head was twisted??

Well this chick above I think I should just let it be and see iff it will pop out on its own when its ready. its still breathing though not peeping.

I wouls hate to help it out and the egg sac be there. humidity and temp is good. I have it moistened with the cocnut oil and a little castor oil just a tad because it has properties to kill fungus and some bacteria.
Any sugestions from looking at the pics?
Thanks for all your help!!

What do you mean in this response?
When I open the bator to get an egg out to work on it do you think I may of jepordized the other two?
would you explain what happens so I dont mess up again.
Thanks

So I think I need my head examined!!! I have really gone off the deep end in the chicken lover department...just ordered 25 chicks of a rare breed called Blue Andalusian....in one year I've gone from experimental chicken owner to incubator and now breeder/conservationist of endangered poultry! how did that happen? LOL anyway will let you all know when they get here.

Oz this breed is heat tolerant, winter egg layer and hardy. Also great foragers as they thrive on free ranging
Keep in touch because I will be needing to offload eggs to you!

Leave it in the incubator. Judging by the veins and redness of it, it is not ready to come out. If you leave it in there it won't hurt. As long as the chick can breathe, it should be okay if it is healthy.

Umm, If you open the incubator too often and let out the cool air/humidity, it shrink wraps them/causes them to be sticky. That is all I know, and it is more difficult to hatch out sticky/shrink-wrapped chicks.

nice. XD good luck with them!

There is a white grainy- looking substance above and on the now purplish looking naval. What is it? Also, she hasn't pooped yet. Is that bad? The other chicks have pooped green poos already.... She seems to be getting stronger- she was trying to get out of the plastic container by jumping/climbing.
