I've heard its good to turn off the fan during lockdown in a forced air bator to help prevent drying out of the membrane. Is there any truth to this?
I am not sure, the fans are not very powerful, its the homemade bators and big bators with powerful fans that really pull out moisture, even my computer fan in the coolerbator blows major air, if I use it as a hatcher again I will unplug the fan in it for sure, but I never do in the styro bator.

if you run the 12v pc fans in your home made bator on a 5v phone charger, you can tame them
