hey coch, update on gos and ducks feet? pics of gos too!!

The ducks definitely don't have bumble foot so I'm going to leave them be and see if it clears up this spring when they get to swim. And I took a bunch of pictures of Goosey and Aflack yesterday, I'll post them tonight.

Goosey is still my baby girl no matter how big she gets, haha.

the longer they last resting means they are going to make it! no rushing no taking membranes off. YAY!!

Yes, and I think that they will all be able to hatch on their own once they're ready.

By the way, a third one just hatched! only 2 eggs left!

If you get worried and they are expensive eggs, you can make a breathing hole for them after they internally pip.  Make a tiny hole in the large end of the shell so that air can get in and out. If you make it too big, the membrane will begin to dry, so keep it small.

Edited to add that they have enough air for 6 - 24 hours after they internally pip.

Thank you soooooo much that really helps i wont do anything for 20 hours then as i usually never intervene but these are my first pure breed hatching and theres only two left, god whoever started up this site, i love you!!! Lol :)

Oh I'm sure you will be fine. Mine dropped below 25 many times since its so dry here. I know last week I had an interal pip on Monday afternoon and went into lockdown. The lil guy didn't hatch until Thursday afternoon. So over 36 hours! It externally pipped about 28 hours after I saw the internal pip. Maybe someone else on here can tell you the longest amount they have seen?

Thank you so much you dont know how much this eases my mind with only two survivors left after the crazy irish postal system was finished with them.

I candled late yesterday afternoon and all the air cells were in tact. I have quite a few that look like this now, and 1 pipped a couple hours ago.
