you want humidity at least 60% u have a hygrometer? I would add a damp rag.. remmeber surface area is what will raise humidity NOT DEPTHS!!

The last time I added damp rags, it just covered the water source and actually lowered the humidity. I have nowhere else to fit a damp rag other than on the containers themselves! I spray a bit of water in the incubator every now and then to keep it at 50. I have heard of a lot of praise for the "dry hatch method" so I am going to try it... I can't do anything else!!

With my next batch of eggs I will use less eggs and more water reservoirs!!! Should I do the water test with the other eggs? It is day 23...?

I hear ya, but dry hatch method still means raising the humitiy to around 60 for hatch.... But thats your call.... maybe even draping a damp paper towel into it over the side will work in adding too... or adding it to the lid or something.

I'd wait until tomorrow to water test. After school... See if hopes peeping encourages anyone else out. Definitely think draping a wet paper towels a good idea too to avoid hope from getting shrink wrapped.

In fact, I would candle tomorrow first and use the water test as the last resort. The less the bator lid is open now the better at this point I would think for Hopes sake. Just my opinion....

Oooh, draping a wet towel over the edge is a really good idea! I think I'll do that!!

What about doing the water test tonight, cause technically it will be day 24 then. (Day 24 starts at three in the afternoon.)

CANDLE FIRST like Rock says! look for that internal pip and movement.... for movement....you will see the air cell bounce if you GENTLY tap on the shell with your fingernail

an internal pip sorta looks like a tiny 3D Triangle in the air cell area!

I incubated and hatched at 45% humidity and we didn't have any problems. I tried to get it higher, but gave up eventually.

Go Hope!!! Would love to see a video of the hatch
