lol Okay, thanks! I am not going to let her die!! I hope it's a girl too, 'cause I can't have the boys!

for a girl then! I like the name too.

Lol, I actually had a roo named hope. When he was little, the others bullied him out of the food and one day, he couldn't stand up. I separated him with one other chick and everyday, he got a little stronger. He walked like he was drunk for about two weeks. The kids named him. We didn't know if he was a he/she. Needless to say, he is a happy flock roo now at a home with a bunch of bantam hens. He never got full size.

But... but.... I can't help but worry... The shell isn't wiggling, and he/she makes a tiny peep only every now and then.

I don't want something to go wrong because I think this is going to be the only chick I am going to get from these eggs.

No. Hush. go play hooky for a few hours and stop hovering :P She looks fine let her do her thing :)

Erm, I took off the shell from the top, and her head is being held inside by the thin membrane around her. She is so weak! Barely peeping. I saw no traces of blood. I think she is ready to come out, but is really weak. I'm going to keep on checking on her. :3

Get the membrane off her head so she can get it out. If she doesn't perk up dribble some sugar water on the side of her beak. If there's no blood it's good. Just check the yolk sac!!!!

I just noticed that there is a bit of blood- not very much, and it's not flowing (as far as I can tell) but it's near her head, and I don't really want to touch it.

She's so quiet.

jumping in here..... blood stop weak stop its too soon..... if she is breathing let her be wet membrane let her alone for 2 hours I keep peaking into the bator to see if they are still breathing..... SHE WILL NOT DIE in the shell unless she bleeds, cant breath and simply has health issues beyond your control

this pic is from an youtube video assisted hatch.... I was so upset.... THIS CHICK IS CLEARLY NOT READY for intervention!!

IT TAKES A LONG LONG TIME for them to absorb all the veining sack and fluids!!! DO NOT RUSH THIS!

see this membrane? this is close to what your looking for! thin thin veining and not so much blood!

She wiggles around and occasionally opens her mouth... Rarely does she peep.

She's not dead, but I think she might be getting there... Should I make some sugar water???
