Any joy with getting her a buddy yet?
We are going to call a hatchery tomorrow when they are open. We will prolly drive there to pick one up. What kind should I get? I'm still trying to decide. I want a hen that will lay unique eggs. :D

Hello Clairebear! What do you have in? and when is lockdown?

Hi!

I have some hedemoras, cream legbars, easter eggers and swedish flowers in now. Pretty excited to see them all developing. Lockdown is coming up for those hatching on NYD and the others go into LD a few days later, so not quite there but almost. This is an awesome thread!!

Oh wow! Still no hatching yet? Do you know what??? I just read you grew up in SA. I am Zimbabwean. Only moved over here 7 years ago - thus the 'pica ins' handle, coz I have 5 of them - LOL!!!! Amazingly small world, coz 1/2 of Zim is now in NZ :)
Awesome

I went to Zim once, when I was a baby. My parents went to the border by the Beit bridge for a picnic (don't ask) and I crawled off over the bridge! My mom couldn't follow me and the border security went ape LOL

I know right??? LOL she is in the process so within ONE WEEK IS MY PREDICTION!! LMAO!!
Darn, I'd hate to disappoint you

But I think it's going to be a bit longer than that. I'm probably going to import eggs from England.

Its tape. She only pecks at it once and a while and I'm confident it won't break off. I have her in my bathrobe while I'm typing this and she loves it- nice and warm AND she has company! She is full of sass. XD
Until she poops...
