This is from the hatching 101 article.... look at the bottom links to this paragraph, I believe its in there....Well, my two thermometers in the incubator agree on temp but the one humidity monitor in the bator reads about 10% lower than the one installed in the bator. How do I know which one is right? I am betting my little Zoo Med is right but that's a big difference to start correcting for.![]()
I don't think my duck eggs are fertilized... I've been incubating it at 100-102 F with no development at all. Oh well.
I traded Tinsel and Twinkle in for 12 serama eggs! Getting them tomorrow!![]()
Tinsel was my pretty Frizzle Serama and this Lady really wanted a frizzle and I am more partial to a pretty flat feather. Sweet Twinkle was the second roo and I didn't want two roos. This lady needed new blood for her birds. She lives right in my small town! I love my Toy Boy! So I have Toy and Holly Berry. I will take my pick of the hen I want to keep when the eggs are hatched. The beauty of Seramas is you can tell about 3-4 weeks what you have mostly. The little boys get " that stand" and get a red comb going early.
No worries! They may not pip until tomorrow or the following day depending on temps. They'll hatch! After pip it could be another 8 hours until you see anymore than just the pip. I'm excited for you!
