Is there anyone on here that would want the 12 Olive Eggers I won? I let the women know that I was going to decline them because I am so afraid to mix larger breeds with my small Silkie-Frizzles ...I think I am over my head with Roosters now I don't want a big Roo...or have to find homes for big Roos. She said she was happy I was honest and could gift them to someone. So I thought I'd put it out there...they are coming from this farm http://www.adamsonacres.com/details.htm
I could only wish! XD

Hey Sumi, I still have a bunch to do. Next weekend I have to go remove 17 acres of fencing and pick up more of my misc coops. It seems to ne the never-ending move. I have all the chickens & horses movedand still have to trap/catch the ducks. They're smart little buggers!

I waited to set eggs until Sunday because things were so crazy. So I'll see what happens and how many are viable. They're all dated to it will be a little experiment to see how many of the eggs past 10 days make it. I wormed the crew... Any idea what to do with the eggs we can't collect due to worming? I hate just throwing them out & don't want to compost them either.

Are these eggs? or chicks? I'd be interested!! :) But I'm in MN can you ship if I paid?
They are fertile eggs...Its free shipping because I won them...if you private message me your address I can email her your address and she can ship them to you...I can hook you both up with each others sites so you can talk directly

I am, but what goes around comes around...and it feels good to give...I know I was super excited when I won them but the more I thought about it I knew I wasn't ready to have bigger breeds with my little birds. I really want to stick to bantams

I can't seem to get my humidity up above 59% What can I do to bring it up? Here's a picture of what I've got inside my 'bator, I don't have any more room for more dishes! I circled the additional dishes in red, the square dish is what I'll have in there the whole hatch.

is your hygrometer accurate? you have a fair surface area there

I'm waiting to hear from or rental agent now. He said we can go view the house today and I'm anxious to see the available space outside. The requirements for rental houses are quite a list, so it's almost a given that the house itself would be fine. I'm more interested in the garden!

I'm curious to see how the older eggs do. It's always nice to have records of people's experiences when you tell people what to do, or not. Though there are some experiments, like hatching eggs after deworming, that I'll rather skip! Talking about deworming, we ate the eggs. I had to deworm my flock with an ostrich dewormer as it was the only one available where I lived and we ate the eggs afterwards. Didn't have any ill effects on us and we didn't have any worm problems either

You can also cook them and feed them back to the hens if you want.
