They are in Iowa I think. They shipped Monday and arrived Tuesday, so color me impressed. All 27 chicks arrived healthy and are napping happily.
My final count is 8 Dark Cornish, 5 black Jersey Giants, 3 White Rocks, 3 Light Brahma, 2 Barred Rocks, 2 Buff Orphingtons, 2 RIR/Red Stars, 1 salmon Favorolles, and 1 Splash Mystery.

YAY! Congrats!!I have 22 out of 25 hatched and in the brooder. I had 1 that pipped then died. I think it hit a vein because there was a lot of blood.2 that never pipped. Then I had 5 that shrink wrapped. I started working on them about 10:30 last night. Got 4 out and wrapped in warm moist towels. The 5th one kept bleeding when I worked on the membrane but I think the membrane was so dry that it couldn't absorb the rest of the blood. I left her in her shell and went to bed around midnight. The dog barked at 3:30am and after loosing my cockerel the night before I put her out to chase off whatever she heard. (All are present and accounted for this morning). I finished helping the last chick out of her shell after putting the dog out. There was lots of blood and I figured she would be dead this morning. She survived the night and managed to kick out of all the paper towels. She has lots of dried blood and gunk on her so she got a warm bath and I put veterecine on what was left of her umbilical and wrapped her in dry towels and added her to the brooder. I am giving her lots of save a chick in the hopes she perks up. She is cuddled with everyone else so hoping and praying she makes it.![]()

Sally I didn't take a single pic. I am sick as can be and taking everything I can get my little hands on and at 3:30 this morning it wasn't happening. It would have made great learning material.
