Day 19. Temp: 100, trying to get it higher. I won't be online for very much longer also.

100 degrees should be fine. Some people actually lower the temperature during the hatch on purpose, but I don't know what research is behind that.

Okay, this morning= no pipping or any sounds from what I can tell. I tapped on the bator and heard nothing. Will they be fine until I get home at 4:00 this evening/afternoon? It's 7:00 in the morn. right now. They might be pipped, and I just can't see the pips, but if they aren't- will they make it another 9 hours?

what do you mean already this is only day 19 of course they will be! LOL my little worry wort!

So for those of you who don’t venture over to my thread much – I had an eventful day. I had ordered and paid for 48 heritage eggs to come from Kansas to LA with shipping to be on March 25
.
The gentleman that sold them to me – by error – sent them yesterday. Now if you do the math, they will need to hatch while I am in the Philippines for Easter. The seller graciously apologized and said he would ship on the right date – but in the meantime I had to find someone to take the eggs off my hands.

I now know how Sally must feel with all the PMs. It went nuts. A long story short – several lucky SoCal people will have some fine free birds.

On top of that I candled 41 shipped eggs on Day 3 – yes 3. All I can say is I love white eggs. Those Golden Campines were veining beautifully. The Buff Brahmas were harder to see but there were veins. The marans – I could see six spots only.
