Honestly, I don't really like the pigeons. They are cool to look at, but they don't do much and they aren't friendly at all. I'll keep them for the summer and I may keep them if they start breeding, but otherwise, they'll be sold. I'd rather have the space for a breeding pair of chickens.

I periodically check Goosey's feet and they look normal. I'm raising her on the same bedding as the ducklings. The little white runner duckling I bought to keep Goosey company has cracks on his feet and they look exactly like how my older ducklings started out. He had the cracks when I bought him. By the way, he is the sweetest thing. He's even friendlier than Goosey. I love those two.

For the older duckling's feet, I haven't done much. I don't have the time and even if I were to soak their feet and use antibiotics, I have no way of keeping their feet clean and wrapped. I've tried. It's definitely not bumble foot, so I'm leaning towards calluses which aren't harmful. The ducklings don't really seem bothered by them, so I think I'll let them be for while and just keep checking on them.

Quote: The same with the button quail, their is one that is nice but still you cant hold them and stuff : (

interesting! perhaps once you have them out and they are in water more it will take care of it! I was thinking some sorta fungus or something. weird weird ya know it!

This has nothing to do with poultry, but after class last night, I came home and my dad told me that someone had dropped off a cooler full of fish. He had heard that I raise fish and just decided to drop his off. pfftt.. I don't have any room for them until spring comes not to mention that one of them is a piranha. What in world am I going to do with a piranha???

Don't release it! JK anyone remember that horror movie piranah? I might be showing my age here. I have no suggestions for you that are of any real help. Glad to here duckies are fine. Maybe some swim time will help after it warms up.

A quick CL search is in order! Just dropped them off??????

Yeah, he used to be our neighbor so he knew I raised fish. He decided to take down his tank and just dropped the fish off at our house.

I haven't seen the movie, but I've already begun threatening some of my younger siblings with the piranha, haha. Sadly, it didn't work; they just think he's cool.

You can say that until you realize that those fish are worth hundreds of dollars. They aren't exactly piranha food, haha.

Cochins I didn't have fish for 5 years and we got two tanks again this winter, I cant believe the prices now! OMG!

Yeah, it's insane.. Even for just a small ten gallon tank you are looking at $100 to get all the necessary equipment.

You just need to look for the good deals. I have a 42 gallon bow front tank with matching stand, lids, lights, filters, and decorations that I only paid $30 for.

I got my 125 gallon tank for only $100, except I also needed to buy the filters ($200) and build a stand for it.
