I wouldnt lower too much, try just a tad until you weigh again. sounds like your running great! what is next weigh date? I forget what days your to weigh, is it 7 10 14 18?
also you could weight the entire rack to get your average instead of each egg from what I read.

Oz how do you weigh? racks right?
I'm not sure, cause I'm doing duck eggs I started on day 9 when should I weigh again? I averaged all the eggs weight and weight loss as a whole but the whole carton would of been easier even though my scale is small and they are all huge runner eggs except two and the carton bows if I don't support it just right with both hands, that's how I broke one!
by the way my stupid iPhone keeps double posting can I delete a post I made or not?

Ok now I don't know what to do!! I have just turned my eggs and was looking at one of my shipped mix lot and the cell is completely detached at looks completely in the wrong place but worse I noticed it felt so light (I haven't started weighing yet) and I had also noticed the egg shell seemed so thin. But on close inspection I noted a leakage only a tiny bit. But it's white and seemed to have covered a very small hole! When I candeled there is defo something going on in there. Not as clear as some but I really gently had to move it about. I was hoping not to see anything then was going to chick it out. But now I've seen its naturally sealed the hole and there is a life ie spider formation but faint. Then what should I do? Here is some pics. HELP!!

what day are you on? I dont see veining but I dont know what day. sometimes shipped eggs get sappy spots big or small and can explode

Quote: I thought it was mold! I was freaking out, its a huge patch on the surface and I went to grab some of the carrots and noticed the movement I was freaking out!
Is that alot of meal worms or what! OMG!!! chicken treat heaven!

adding, did you take pics of how you assembled that thing? I want to understand your wiring for the thermostat better!

Take Pictures - I did not take step by steps - sorry.

I was using 220 main current - same thing as 110 here but twice the voltage. Little difference in wiring you just need electronics that can cope with the power source - and know it kills twice as fast if you get shocked.

In this case - the hovabator thermostat is mechanical - the wafer widens with increased heat - which moves a switch off and on. It will work fine with 220V.. The fans are 220V 100mm case fans from ebay

The dimensions of the incubator are 48 x 36 x 11. I used 3/4 inch marine grade plywood and some scrap 1x 6 hardwood

There are 2 pieces of plexiglass 12 x 24 on the top. The "viewing windows" have an insulated wooden cover to minimize heat loss during non visiting hours.

I used half inch thick double foil sided insulation

On day 4 there was veining but it was too hard to see it with the camera. Had to take the pic myself. And hold everything. But def had veins. They seem to move up high I then have to slowly tilt the egg for it to move down enough. The shell just seems incredibly light. I have put it back in there but I have to say if it does explode it wouldn't take much being so thin. I will check it again in the morning and maybe after another day there maybe seething more to see. There was another egg with a hairline crack that I taped but I may redo it with varnish. But that was also shipped in with this egg. That is not seeping
