Oh and Sumi, sorry about your hubby falling. I hope he gets to feeling better soon. Bad enough to see a doc?

And I will let you know when we start planning. Right now we are still in the dreaming phase of our trip to Ireland. I have seen almost all of Europe minus the UK. My husband has never been out of the States though.

Oh and not to add insult to injury, but it is sunny and 80 degrees here. And for once, no wind. Just got back from a nice walk with the kids. Anything to keep my mind off this dumb chick.

OK maybe here is a better pic. I think I am just going to keep waiting since the breathing thing is normal.

The flashlight through the bator window seems to take the best pics. It is all looking clear aside from some tiny ones and that vein you can see on the left. It is the only one I am concerned about. But I figure if I can still see it then the yolk and cord still have work to do. I am wondering if it was suppose to even hatch at all. It is 2 days past the others. I know some people say they have had longer though. Think maybe the fact that it sat at the post office on it's side for 10 days could make the hatch so spread out?

Sorry again everyone for gunking up the thread. I guess if anyone understands pics like this it's y'all!
Stop apologising already! I've seen much worse pics on here and these are educational, so post away. By the looks of the membrane that I can see that chick is getting there quick. I'd personally give him another hour and then remove more of the shell, working down towards it's belly to check for more veins. I found with one of my previous assists that the rest of the membrane was clear except for that last bit. You may find he's getting impatient to get out now, but ignore him. They just want to hatch. Ready or not!

Can we talk about which direction the belly is? Haha things things always look contorted to me.

He said he feels a bit better today, but he's taking it very easy to give it time to heal. I hope we won't need to go see a doctor. We're stuck with private healthcare here until we get citizenship and it's expensive...

I've been to Belgium, The Netherlands (stayed there a few months) and now here. I love the open spaces here and the amazing coastline. When you go up the West coast, from Castletownbeare up.. You'll want to stay! Believe me. I want to move to Allihies myself. It's the most beautiful place.

And

LOL! It's still raining and it's COLD.

Quote: Your guess is as good as mine! LOL You'll have to figure it out as open the shell. It's hard to tell from the head, you'll need to see down to the wings, at least. My last problem child was so twisted in there she had a toe sticking up behind her head like bunny ears. Took her forever to untangle herself. I was so relieved when she started walking finally.
