When did she pip? My assisted duckling took 3 days before she was ready to hatch. I just kept wetting the membrane and left her. She was fine. If you candle you should be able to see where the yolk is/was, there will be a "void" in that area once it's been absorbed. I went with the blood in the membrane as I do with a chick assists. If you need help, yell. I'll be in and out of here today.

I will totally take u up on that! I have 2 of hers in the bator. The first one pipped about 48 hours ago but I started assisting and took the top off about 33hrs ago cause he was getting shrink wrapped. That one had massive vessels but as of 7am pacific his vessels were really receeding
The second one was a lower middle pipper and she had outer membrane stuck to her bill so she couldn't open it and the outer way tan and leathery she had mad a big hole right in the middle and then was stuck. Her vessels were tiny but I could she that yolk. I can't see when I candle but I can see the yellow under the shell in the light. As of this morning she has maybe one tiny vessel I can see and yolk has shrunk a lot. Also a piece of her membrane came off when I put more bacitracin on it. Both were vocal and moving this morning. I'm at work now but should be home in 5 hours and my husband is home to keep me somewhat updated. Just nervous!

Wire, Beads, pliers/cutters, chicken


cut 3 pcs wire about 12"


Braid Wire


Cut another pc wire 6" add beads


Add to center of tiara base twist to attach


cut 6" pc fine wire and wire up a bead to hang in the middle


like this...


add it to the center so it floats/moves


DONT ask DH for his wire!


cut 2 more pc of wire


add beads as below...


add these through the tiara base,
twist/attach & clip excess


clean up edges of base of tiara


and Wa La! TIARA


Don't forget to try it out!

I know. I was wondering how to tell when it is absorbed because it was disappearing quickly from view but I noticed when I put it under the light not shine it through I can totally see it through the shell! So no more worrying about that. And you said the one with the top off will do it on his own right?
