Quote:When it's lock down time I lay my eggs flat on there side. I don't hatch them in the carton. That's just for tilting them on the 1x2 for easy turning.
Maybe not sure what you meant. Actually, I'm not sure what you meant.![]()
When you candle your egg day 18 you will see one side of the air cell dips lower than the rest, out an X on the lowest part of the air Cell dip, and lay them with this mark up. then you an see them pip and they are in position for hatching!

Awww....So jealous!!! I've come to the conclusion that I'm not meant to have ducks! In February I placed an ad for Call Ducklings. Got a reply from a local lady saying she would probably be setting eggs in March. Got the call in March that they had been set, and hatch date was April 13th. That day came and went, with no call back on progress or anything. Plan B, a local friend on here had Call eggs in the 'bator and was going to let me have whatever hatched......None hatched.I don't want to try hatching my own because they're notoriously hard to hatch, and I don't think I could take the heartbreak! So, as I strongly believe in things working out that are supposed to happen, I have concluded that I'm not meant to have them for whatever reason. Maybe I wouldn't have liked having ducks, and the Lord's saving me the trouble of finding out on my own.![]()
