How long has she been sitting? In total I mean, not since you gave her eggs. A little treat wouldn't hurt at all. And besides she's nearly a mom and it's mother's day, so spoil her a little

If she's up to it, let her finish sitting on one or two eggs and when the others hatch slip them under her so she can raise them.

And happy mother's day to you as well

Sumi she has only been sitting for 19 days but I don't think she has been getting up. She had some scrambled eggs and grapes and tomatoes. Everything except a little egg was gone this evening. She still has 2 eggs under her. The eggs in the bator look day 16 and day 18ish. She has been doing a really good job but I think she is just weak from not getting up. She will get more eggs and treats tomorrow too. Hatch day should be Wed.

I've dusted the coop with DE including the roosting boards and given Ivermectin in water, not very natural but sometimes you need to get rid of irritants quickly.

How much Ivermectin do you use in the water?

I tried to catch up. I really did. Broody still has 2 eggs. So we shall see.

For dusting since I have seen it mentioned here. I use an old nylon with garden and poultry dust. I dust under the wings, the back, and really well around the tail area. I also dust the roosts, around the window frames and any cracks and crevices.

This has been very stressful. First major issue in 3 years. AFter spraying sevn and dusting with sevn on all 3 houses, went outside after dark with a flashlight. Both grower house and new house seen nothing. The Production reds house, there roosting pole is covered.

I guess I need to go to TSC and get some of that DE and spread every where.
