1 cc per litre of water for 2 days. No other water until done. Let me know how it works for you, I know how awful it is to have crawly bugs on you and everywhere

Have you used the pour on? Ivomec

(Ivermectin) Pour-On for Cattle. I might try this. I read 5 drops on the back of there necks. But if I use it in there water then I wouldn't have to hold them and get those dam things all over me again!! LOL But it seems this might work faster. Not sure.

Well you have to dust them don't you? I know its a pain but I always do it at night, as they line up to get in the coop I grab them and dust and throw them in. you can always do it at night on roost?????

Yea I can. But that's when those things are the worst. Trying to keep the numbers down that I get on me!! Seriously, I can't stand them on me. They don't bit me, I just can feel them crawling on me. See just killed another one on my hand.

I was thinking of locking them up tonight, then in the morning reach in and grab them one by one. Then I can clean and spray the pen again.

edited to add: Do it right by pump spraying the whole place (s) and giving the ivomec at the same time and you won't believe how quickly they will disappear like magic, which will make you a happy person!

I used pour on when I only had 6 hens...don't remember the amount of drops but a drop more or less won't hurt, just make sure that the feathers don't get in the way.

Actually I think I will go with that. No handling. Sounds bad but again, he77, I need to treat myself after this is all done.

Just don't know where they all came from. This just came on in the last 2 weeks. How long should I throw out the eggs? 10 days? And how young can I go? Seems it could be a good treatment for the younger birds for mites, lice and worms.

Silver- I just started with the Jaerhons but my understanding is they are LF but on the small end! They are supposed to lay med-lge eggs and be great winter layers! I have a mating pair right now and am working on getting a few more hens from a gal on our WI thread! I had picked up an itty bitty one from her a few weeks ago and it didn't make it! I'm hoping to hatch my own out next spring and I'm sure will have extras I can let you know!
Question: I have an incubator going at my son's school that because of when I received the eggs (mailed) and had to set them they are due over Memorial Day weekend so I will need to bring them home. Should I transport at lockdown or can I wait until the last minute in case there is an early hatcher I really was hoping the kids would see them hatch!
