Does anyone know weather these guys are hens or Roos? I'm pretty sure Aqua (the second one) is a hen, but I'm not sure about Moe (the first one)... Also, do their combs look a little red and swollen? Are the supposed to be like that?
Moe is a roo, no doubt about it. Wattles are getting long in the tooth.

Morning! Sunshine and allergies woohoo! My little girl's last day of kindergarten today. Can't believe how fast the school year went. Sheesh what an emotional week for me and it is only Wednesday.

I hate missing days on this thread.. Oh well, I'm caught up again.

I have 8 newly hatched chicks, 3 zipping, 2 external pips, and 2 with nothing. They are hatching around my goose eggs because they began hatching early... I really hope that this doesn't compromise the goose eggs which are due May 30th.

Thank you Sally & Kaybee, I'm so excited I can't wait until I start seeing something in there. :-D. Kaybee, my in laws have eaten our chickens eggs & they love them. My MIL actually called friends & family back in Cali and told them about them. She says she wants chickens now too

I have a sick chick. The ONLY orpington I have. Her wings are droopy, she's not eating, watery poo. I mixed up some sugar water and droppered that and then dissolved some chick feed and droppered that as well... no real change. She just looks awful...

I have her in a box in the house but I'm sure I didn't catch it in time so I'm sure of its spreadable I'm sure it spread. Should I treat all for... what? I "think" I posted a picture above...or below...
