Yellow, foamy, bloody? Diarrhoea is one of the symptoms, but the poo is not always bloody. On looking again. MAYBE I have a little poo that isn't normal and MAYBE is a little runny. As for the MAYBE's. I don't look at the poo on a regular basis. I did see some that was brown and wasn't hard but Ive seen a lot of somewhat runny poo from chicks.
Added more in boldHere are the symptoms Ive noticed.
1) standing with wings hanging at side for the first several hours.then with heads pulled in to their body. Neck sucked in.
2) sitting with head down and eyes closed for the next few hours before death. Once Ive noticed it until death is around 12 hours.
Then Ive seen these on individual chicks, Not all.
3) Maybe a little dehydration. One of thems neck looked real dry.
4) Possible skin irritation
5) saw some poo that was brown and runny but only a very small amount for 75 chicks in one pen.
6) The bigger one that died had a hard lump in its chest. It was the one with the irritated area around the neck and wing. Could of been pecked. It had some different symptoms than the rest.
I stupidly put a sick chick in with some younger ones last night around 10 and one is lethargic and sitting now with its eyes closed. I think it will be dead soon. That would put incubation until death at around 12 hours if it makes it another couple hours which it probably will.

Well I am exhausted I didnt sleep a wink, I kept her next to me in bed in a small dish pan w a heating pad...placed a piece of a feather boa over her so she would feel secure. She slept better then I did! This morning I noticed however she is not walking like all my other chicks would be on day2. She is not eating and scratching like she should. She takes a few bites and I still have to dip her beak in water for her to drink. She has energy though she chirps and she crawls to make her way to me. I have tried doing stuff like putting her on her back so she has to use her strength to flip over. I put her with her mom today w the rest of the chicks....she looks confused. What should I do? I don't want her to starve to death. That's wonderful! And such a pretty little thing tooHow is she doing now?![]()
