But
to be honest though, I left mine in there 36 hours because I went on a trip and they were fluffed up and doing well, but very thirsty/hungry when I took them out and gave them moistened chick starter and water.

Kk thanks guys lol the chick is doing well playing soccer with all the eggs lol I'm thrilled and I couldn't have done this without you all so thank you from the bottom of my heart!

OK MRS SALLY You have so many links up on chicken things do you have one someplace on comb types?
I have roos out here with all kinds of combs but have no ideas what they each are called. Any help?
(Hope someone doesn't say buy an APA book) Gotta be a link someplace to just look.

Okay, one chick didn't make it so I have three chicks with one serama externally pipped so far. I am afraid through feather sexing my Lavender Ameraucana is a male but we'll see.

In my other bator, I have 15 out of 24 eggs developing. Breeds include cream legbars, wheaten Ameraucana, OEs, and BCMs.

Ok so I looked this morning and out of the six that have piped they are doing fine two have broken out and are now resting and drying so I'm very happy the one that piped wrong is half way through so I'm very happy and we have one very active chick walking around almost dry and making noise yay
awesome!

ohhhh! That would take a bottle of Nuskin! lol There are no open red marks YET, just no feathers and its all white skin!
I have one poor girl like that to shes been that way for months though her skin is pink now not white but no blood the roo likes to jump on her b/c she got a badly crippled leg.
I tried to remove her to out of the pen then she just hung against the fence afraid out on her own b/c of her bad leg I guess so I put her back in.She seems happier there but stays in the coop most of the time

Question I cant use hen saddles as its too freaking hot, what on earth should I do for these brahma hens, they are starting to look a mess the poor things! Will they bleed on their backs too?
I keep their hen saddles on even in the heat. No different than all their feathers. I do have one girl that manages to slip out of hers every time she dust bathes.

Poor girl. Chickens are most happy with their family group of chickens.
