OMG! Did I seriously just buy eggs on ebay??



I have been reading about Welbars... I have Welsummer eggs in the bator. So I just ordered Barred Rock eggs. Talk about counting your chickens before they hatch, LOL! I couldn't resist - no one bid on them and they were just $6.99 for 10+ eggs. Coming from Tennessee I will have a little bator juggling to do. But they are due the 1st and my first batch leaves the bator for the hatcher that day - plus they will have to sit overnight anyway.

Ugh - I am watching the countdown clock and counting the open slots in my bator.... once I move the first 20 to the hatcher I will have 29 open slots... dear me - I am an addict, LOL! THAT didn't take long...

These are what I'd love to have. A liiittlle too expensive for me, especially because without being able to keep roosters, I couldn't do a breeding program. Those Blue Breda a beautiful though.... Why, oh why do you tempt me!!

Lockdown has begun for Cochins, my humidity keeps going to 70, is that too high.

I just looked at them they have to be the coolest chicken I have ever seen but to spend that much on shipped eggs I do not know if I would even if I could afford to. I might they are unreal looking and there are what 29 bids so far.

They are so cool, but VERY hard to get in the US. I'm hoping they get less expensive as more people get them in the US. I've been lusting after them for a while!! $610 for 8 shipped eggs is crazy (and the 29 people who are bidding on them!!)
