Awesome!
I hope the serama hatches some out, I have a friend who wants the chicks! I have pretty much narrowed my flock down, except brahma I am growing out that I need to do something with.
I may end up selling the entire flock splash roo splash hens and all, even the yungins. I just have way way too much on my plate and I don't have more money to keep putting into feed for no eggs. I know after this crazy molt things will kick in but by then its winter and who will want eggs anymore!
Your beautiful brahmas?
Think about it this way. You've stuck way too much money into feeding them to simply give up on them. Once they are through their molt, they should begin laying again. Lots of people buy eggs during the winter. I don't like having to use heat lamps in the winter, but I overall prefer winter chicks.
I hope that all is well on your end.![]()
I have been telling myself that for well over a year now Coch, frustrating, oh and what happened to you on FB I think your not on my list anymore? and btw I have NEVER in my life seen chickens loose every feather at once and take months to get them back! I keep saying ok its over and then its worse!!! ugggggg
