Diatomaceous Earth for worms

There's no way to effectively de worm a chicken with natural products, anyone who claims other wise has never actually researched the effectiveness. Also this thread is 8 years old my friend. ;]

Well, it works for my chickens, I have no complaints, nor do my chickens… It’s in their feed and never had an issue with worms…. I dust them with it also, no mites… Guess my chickens are special~

Everybody starts out the "natural worming" route, me included many years ago. I quickly learned that the natural route doesnt work.
You'll eventually learn as well. Best buy you a bottle of Safeguard liquid goat wormer or a bottle of Valbazen liquid cattle/sheep wormer and have either on standby when the time comes.
Forewarned is forearmed.
I forgot to mention, buy Permethrin dust for lice/mites. You wont regret it.

Thank you! I surely will pick some up just in case~ is the dosage on the package for use with chickens? Better safe that sorry when it comes to my babies….

Valbazen: Use a syringe without a needle and dose 1/2ml orally to each chicken. Then redose again in 10 days.

Safeguard liquid goat wormer dosage is 0.23ml per pound of weight given orally for 5 days using a syringe without needle.

It's in your feed to help prevent grain mites. It is impossible for DE to prevent or rid an internal worm issue.

Absolutely…. My feed is kept in waterproof containers and under cover on my porch….not really overly worried about my feed, it goes so quickly…..
