Dickey or Rite Farm cabinet incubator

Got the GQF 1502 Digital Sportsman and really like the build and first hatch with it went very well. Bought the humidity kit and glad I did. If you lockdown you need it because the fan and wick pads will empty the water tray in just a little over a day. Not a bad thing for good humidity, as some brands just don’t get it up there for me ever. Just saying the humidity kit or a diy one will be needed if you have humidity problems and have to increase it using the wick pads (because they work well lol). Happy with 1502

We have the Rite Farms 1200 Pro 12 egg incubator and it is the worst ever. We gave it a chance for a whole year, dealing with the constant uneven humidity and the alarm going off all the time and not being able to regulate anything. Not ever again and of course would NOT recommend any of their products.

I have the Dickie 2x2 I bought it used for 1 hatched. I have been using it non stop for the last 6 months with no issues. It's just like a sportsman but has a backup system if 1 fails. But the cabinet is hand built and not as nice as the sportsman and the Turner is starting to make noise. If you decide to get the Dickie get the 3x1 as you dont need 2 hatching trays and get the full humidifier kit with the bucket and the humidifier because the bucket setup is hard to manage the humidity and the humidifier kit doesn't have enough volume of water. I give it 9 out of 10

We had a Pro 440 Rite Farms for 5 Years, it was great, I did trow away their water pan and put a stainless steel pan in it and then made a mesh cover so chicks could not get in and drown, I ordered spare humidity sensors and temp sensors, had to change 1 humidity sensor in 5 years and that is about it, as long as after every hatch give it a good scrubbing and works great. Oil the chain once in a while. It works great for all types of birds, we have hatched chickens, ducks, peacocks, turkeys and Emu’s
